For those who have used Stuffit for Linux. Q:

When you unstuff a folder, do you just get a folder with a bunch of named documents that have no extensions?

Example: I unstuffed a .sit archive of LOTR icons and have a folder of ? You can see a picture of it here http://www.furiae.org/lotricon.jpg

I've been using the unstuff command that is specified in the program icon2png, which says to unstuff it using
Quote:
unstuff --text=auto --macbinary=auto --eol=unix archivename.sit
if anyone can tell me what is going on or what I'm doing wrong, I'd be ever so greatful. Just trying to get some LOTR icons on my desktop :P

Now open a console window and move to the directory with all your icons.

then type

icns2png *

and it should convert the files to .png

The .sit file is like a zip, so you have to unstuff that, then you have to convert the files that were in the sit file to png files so you can use them as icons.

if you need more help then this, clickhere
