fonts

Ok, well, I've got a scalable font called "clean"
Code:
I copied all the *.pfc.gz files into the /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/,
I do xset fp rehash
I do fc-cache -v (with superuser privileges)
I restarted the xfs
But, my system does not load ANY font from /usr/lib/X11/fonts/*
and that's the why?
Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,

I belieive *.pcf fonts are for console use, not for X
[edit]
mmmh, it seems that I was wrong...

Did you try :
Code:
cd /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc
mkfontdir .
mkfontscale .

Try making a hidden folder in your home folder ~/.fonts
Put the fonts in there. Or try /usr/share/fonts.
Look at the files in /etc/fonts. If you have fontconfig installed, that's where it's configuration files are.
