Font visualization

Hi, I installed a program under OpenSuse 10.3, but when I open the graphic user interface, I don't see the words in the menu. For each character I see only a square. I think that the fonts of that interface are not supported or installed...
What do you think? Do you have any advice to fix my problem?

It might have been helpful to say which GUI you were using.

...that is possible, but to get get specific advice, you'd have had to have said what the program was. Another possibility is that you have a program that uses a non-English character set which you don't have in the default font (e.g., even if the default font is something common like Times, you may not have, e.g., Cambodian Characters, in your Times font, which would then cause this kind of problem when the app requests Cambodian characters).

you could try looking at the .conf file for the program to see if either a peculiar font are specified or, e.g., a peculiar language.

Alternatively, you could try posting the information that might help someone to give you more specific advice.

Hallo, I think the problem is that the program is using a non English character. I searched the .conf file, but I didn't find it! How can I change this configuration?
