font unreadable (reverse-video) when too small

Hi,

I have just installed gentoo and I have problems on some web sites (using mozilla). For example on this page: h t t p : / / w w w . redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/ref-guide/s1-nfs-client-config.html
I cannot see the "mount" strings unless I ask mozilla to display the page in more than 100% of it's size (the text is white on white if I don't do it).

The same problem arise in Gaim with some of my contacts. If I don't override the font they choose I cannot read the text (againt white on white).

I have an nvidia GeForce 2 card with nvidia drivers and the ttf fonts are installed.

Thanks for your help,
