font problems in kde
 

Hy.
Until yesterday i was using kde 3.3.2 with no problems at all, all the fonts were as they should be. I did modifications in my xorg.conf file ... just basic configuration .. adding some modelines and stuff .. not important. The problem is that now .. some applications have weird fonts. For example gaim. I tried everything .. even going back to the old configuration for my xorg.conf file .. same effect. The thing is that in gnome fonts are properly displayed and gaim has proper fonts. I even tried upgrading to kde 3.4 but still no change. Do you have any ideas why this is happening. I really like kde much more than gnome but with those ugly fonts ... not really

This is a sample snapshot to show the different fonts. Notice that gaim fonts are not as they should be. This applies to allmost all the aplications. There are some that have proper fonts like firefox for example ...
