I've been using fluxbox on a gentoo install, and everything was going just fine and dandy.
Then one day I noticed that my windows disappear from the task bar when they're minimized :O!
They're still running, which I can verify using ps. But they no longer appear in the task bar, and I can't find anyway to bring them back into focus.
Cool. They're not doing something silly like dropping to another workspace are they? Are you still able to see the taskbar (wherever you've got it placed) and does it show anything?
Have you tried looking for the minimized windows in the workspace list which can be accessed through the main fluxbox menu (i.e. via right-clicking on the desktop)?
I think you can access the workspace list by middle-clicking on the desktop as well, but I'm not sure (and I have Enlightenment running at the moment, not fluxbox, so I can't check).
They're definitely not disappearing to another workspace.
However it seems that when I middle click on the background, the missing windows are actually in the "icons" group.
Thanks guys.
What is this "icons" group? And how can I stop this from happening?
Sadly I have no such option available in the configure menu
Could this option have been set implicitly when changing to a different fluxbox theme/style?
