fluxbox keeps gdm background on ubuntu 10.04

well you might have noticed that ubuntu 10.04 comes with some crappy purple background on gdm, well my problem is that when i start fluxbox it keeps that background as wallpaper even when i put fbsetbg code on startup to change it, even i put a delay to wait like 3 seconds and still the background is the one on GDM.
so... what can i do???

Open gnome-control-center as root and change the background via Login Window.
