Floppy formatting
I'm looking for a command line based program that is able to format & verify a
3.5" floppy @: 720kb double density 1440kb high density 1902kb high density With superformat i obtain very often a message of invalid seek, other times i can't verify the disk even if it has NO PROBLEMS ( tried filling it with a file, umounting it and diff'ing it - even on a 1440kb disk ). With for example GFLOPPY i don't obtain such strange things, it always format the floppy without problems but it's graphical and also it can't reach 1902 kb. Also mformat has the same problems of superformat ( it's the same afaik ). Thanks in advance. |
have you tried fdformat?
