Question flesh player in Konqueror

I have both Konqueror and Mozilla. Mozilla has automatically downloaded flesh player so i can view sites. But Konqueror still asks for the missing plugin. But i do not want to download it and install it manually as there is already one flesh player on my system. Is it possible to tell Konqueror that flesh player is already installed?

There are at least a couple of ways to do this, but I'd probabaly just go to Konqueror->Settings->Configure Konqueror->Plugins and then add the path to the directory where your existing flashplayer is located (the file is called libflashplayer.so)

It doesn't work. something is strange there. When i search for the file it is found in home/myname/.mozilla/plugin but i cannot see .mozilla dir in my home directory. so i added the path manually and not by browsing. I added both home/myname/.mozilla/plugin and home/myname/.mozilla/plugin/filename but nothing happens when i view some site. mozilla firefox and mozilla suite works fine..
What do you think is wrong?
What about those other ways?

Hmm - you really don't see anything when you do ls -l .mozilla/ ? That's odd.

Another way of doing it would be to use a symbolic link from /wherever/libflashplayer.so to /a path where konqueror looks for plugins/libflashplayer.so (ln -s /wherever/libflashplayer.so /a path where konqueror looks for plugins/libflashplayer.so)

Check the validity of the link with ls -al

When i run ls -l .mozilla/ from shell i can see it but not when i'm looking with Konqueror in my home dir. I had a dir called mozilla so i deleted it, maybe it was that that caused confusion. another thing i get a bit suspitious about is when i installed the firefox the installation instructions says only
this: tar -xzvf firefox-1.5.tar.gz. But what about the other comnands like make or make install? maybe it is that's problem. But anyway i'm not planning to try the second solution. But i can always use it if i get into trouble. for now i can always use firefox.

Anything with a period in front of it is normally hidden. There's ways to set it up to show these, but I'm not sure how to do it in konqueror.

i don't think plugin will work if i set it unhidden.. Something else is wrong but i've got solution with symbolic link (which again may not work because of something else).
