Flash video and buttons crazy
Whenever a flash movie or button loads, I get lines across the video, usually the entire screen. See the attached picture. Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried uninstalling the packages and re-installing. I also checked the dependencies for glib.
make sure your driver is good, see if google can find you a driver for it that someone's already written
otherwise it's most likely hardware related. I've seen this exact same thing in windows, it was a bad video card.
If I where you I would consider downloading a diagnostic disc like Hiren's boot disc or a geek squad disk if you can get your hands on one or something, as long as it's got video testing capability.

first thing to do is turn your resoultion, colordepth and refresh rate down to make sure you are not overdriving the video card.
try 640x480 16BPP with 60HZ refresh.
