Flash plugin problems with Fedora 10
Hi, I have Fedora 10 running on a Dell Latitude
C810 Pentium III 1133MHz. Playback with flash is jerky (video & audio) and gets out of sync. CPU usage increases to 99% when this is happening (e.g. on you tube). Anyone seen/fixed this? kernel 2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686 flash-plugin-10.0.22.87-release.i386 Firefox 3.0.7 I have seen a page which seems to report this as a bug to adobe http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-1388 Also tried disabling hardware acceleration, didn't work. |
well on a old " Pentium III 1133MHz." that is not surprising .How much ram do you have ? 256 meg?

Flash poor running
I've 512 Mb RAM, can't do much about the processor on a laptop.
I've tested on a P4 and identical setup otherwise and it's OK.... Can I encourage it to use more swap, if RAM is a problem? |
512 is fine , it is on the low side so things like video will be a bit slow .
However this ( p3 - 1133MHz ) cpu will really slow things down and i take it there is NO 'pseudo ' 3d chipset built into the laptop ( no graphics card - no gpu) so that EVERYTHING must be ran through the cpu |
