Flash player really slow

I've been having trouble with the flash-player (from macromedia) is really slow (we're talking 1-2 fps). I use mozilla and the hardware shouldn't be a problem since I have an AMD XP 2500+, 512 mb ram and a Geforce4 ti4600 working perfectly with nvidia drivers. Do you know what is the problem? The flash-player can't be meant to be so slow.

Anyway, all answers are appreciated. Please tell me if I should file a bug report and if so, to macromedia or the mozilla team?

try crossover-plugins if you are using mozilla or netscape or try oper browser it has flash support out of the box

I have the same problem with flash. The last version of Mozilla I had it work good with was 1.2.1 and earlier. I feel it is a mozilla problem, I have tried this on different distros, and different puters. I can install something like RH 9 which comes with mozilla 1.2.1 and install flash and it works pefectly and then upgrade to the recent version of mozilla and the flash is jerky.

I use flash with Opera and it is slow as well...but that may be because I've got a pentium 200mhz and 48mbs ram .
