Firewall rules make gtk+2 apps start horrendously slowly

I just added new iptables rules and now all my GTK+2 apps take several minutes to start up. Any ideas what firewall rules I need to change to make Nautilus, gedit, etc. work?

This normally could not be.
Only if the programm uses the loopback. ACCEPT all traffic from and to loopback!
