firewall & boot "problem"
Dear linux-friends,
I think i've got a problem with my firewall config, or so. This problem appears on my 64 bit "machine" with suse 9.0 - 64 bits. Every time when i boot up the following messages pops up: “Master Resource Control: previous runlevel: N, switching to runlevel: 5 <notice>start services (random SuSEfirewall2_init) Initializing random number generatordone Starting Firewall Initialization (phase 1 of 3) insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.21-209-default/kernel/net/ipv6/netfilter/ip6table_filter.o: init_module: Invalid argument insmod: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.21-209-default/kernel/net/ipv6/netfilter/ip6table_filter.o: insmod ip6table_filter failed” When i remove the firewall it disappears again. Is there a problem? What should i do about it?confused:   Greetings, Marcel: |
Same Problem
I have the same problem. SuSE 9.0 running on AMD64. I get the same error during boot.
Unfortunately I do not have a fix for that, just wanted to confirm the problem. It does not seem like it is a single isolated case. I posted a support request to SuSE and will let you know if they reply. -m |

Suse didn't gave me any solution, other than putting the IP6-table on none working (via Yast) , which it already stood. greetings |
