Firefox won't open BBC Homepage

Hi

When I try to go to the BBC Homepage, which is my Home Page, I get the following message:

Quote:
Under Construction

The site you are trying to view does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded and configured.

Please try this site again later. If you still experience the problem, try contacting the Web site administrator.
This page will open in Opera, and all other pages (including BBC ones) still open in Firefox. It's only a small problem but it's bugging me!
I have tried un-installing then re-installing Firefox, but to no avail.
This problem arised after I played around with the connection settings, to try and set a proxy.

Cheers

James

Have you tried forcing a reload by holding Shift and then clicking the Reload icon?

Works for me (using bbc.co.uk) - is it just this page or are others affected? Have you tried other BBC pages, such as news.bbc.co.uk?

Hi

It works now - I've done nothing at all to resolve the problem. Very strange. I did try reloading the page, and it was the only page of the BBC, or anywhere else for that matter, which was blocked. I seem to remember this happening a couple of years ago after I did the same manipulation in Firefox.

Thanks.

James
