Firefox pop-up blocker not functioning
 

Hi people, I have a little problem with this feature. I visit this website (abovetopsecret.com) on the internet where the pop-up blocker doesn't seem to work at is best.Because when I go to the page I don't get any pop-ups but when I start browsing the site like going to their discussion forum and so on, this little window pops open. When I right click the windows and look for the properties, this are the two sources of this pop-ups ( http://rightmedia.net , http://http330.edge.ru4.com) and when I try to closed, it completly opens a page that is empty, no information what so ever. I have windows opening, from AOL screens to animaticons sceens. I install the extension adblocker to see if this could give that extra mile to fight this pop-ups windows but with no success. As far as I know Linux systems are completly safe against spyware so i don't think I have a spyware. I'm running a Mandrakelinux system if this make any difference in How firefox pop-up blocker function?. Any comments or help will be very appreciated.

No real solution for you, but just double-check the Firefox Edit/ Preferences/Web Features that "Block Pop-Up Windows" is checked and that you haven't allowed pop-ups on those sites by exclusion. I've had Firefox forever in Windoze, SuSE and FC2 and never have had a pop-up yet.
