Firefox on redhat 9

Hi guys,
I am using redhat 9 for learning purpose - alot of books avail on it.

Anyway. I installed firefoc on my home folder and it went well. But, I dont see any icon on the desktop or programs menu. Yes I know this is not windoze.

So what I did was link a copy of firefox(service?) on my desktop . When I double click it... a dialogue box asking "display" , "run in terminal" , "cancel" and "run". Ofcourse I click run and then firefox opens and here is no problems.

What I want to know is how to get rid of the dialogue so as to open the browser immediately upon double clicking the icon?

Thanks

not sure what version of gnome came with rh9 (2.4ish?) but look in the nautilus settings. The reason you are getting this is because "firefox" inside the firefox-installer directory is a script not an executable program (firefox-bin is the actual browser, but you cannot call it directly).
