Firefox Java Install - Segmentation fault
I am running centOS 4.0 and I have to say it kicks ass. Previously had MEPIS and I liked that too and now I think I miss apt-get. Oh well - can't have it all.
On to my problem:
I have installed JAVA j2re1.4.2_08 and I have linked Mozilla to the Java plugins directory and JAVA apps run in Mozilla.
I have tried over and over to get Firefox linked to the Java directory in the same manner as Mozilla, however when I go the the directory:
/usr/lib/firefox-1.0.3/plugins (where Firefox is installed)
and issue the command:
/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_08/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
I get the error:
'Segmentation fault'
Since Java works in Mozilla is it possible that Firefox is broken?
