Firefox Issue

After I install firefox 1.5.0.1 on RedHat Enterprise 3. I untar my firefox at /usr/local/bin. Everytime i opened firefox, i will see the following message at the bash shell:

Cannot load module /usr/lib64/pango/1.2.0/modules/pango-basic-xft.so: /usr/lib64/pango/1.2.0/modules/pango-basic-xft.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

What is the issue for the above problem? New in Linux. Can anyone advise.

Welcome to LQ!
It is complaining that it canot find /usr/lib64/pango/1.2.0/modules/pango-basic-xft.so

You have not told us anything about your hardware or distribution, but that file refers to a 64-bit version of linux. This only applies if you are running a 64-bit distro on 64-bit hardware. Is this your case?

Perhaps you are trying to run a 64-bit version of firefox on a 32-bit machine?

We need more information if we are to help you.
