Firefox/Iceweasel Fonts Questions.
I am a fairly new user of Debian/GNU Linux, using Sid from Sidux Linux. I recently did a dist-upgrade and the fonts to my Iceweasel browser (ie: the tabs, the menu, etc.) became larger for some unknown reason. Now I want to revert or reduce the size of these fonts to their original size, but how do I do this? PS: I tried the preferences font settings but they only affect the web page text inside the browser.

Thankyou for your advice. I will try out your suggestion, however, I have been reading posts and links about about:config in Iceweasel/Firefox; anything there that will help? |
Check the font size settings
Another thing to check is the settings in View -> Text Size. The text on a website can be 'blown up' and 'shrunk' using the Text Size menu (and Ctrl + and Ctrl -). This may or may not be the issue, but check to see if your Text size is set at 'Normal'.

What desktop manager or window manager do you use? I'm not sure about GNOME, but in other environments, the only consistent way I've figured out to get GtK applications to use the font size I want is to create a .gtkrc-2.0 file. My ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file looks like:
Code:
