Someone has to know how

A few questions:

---in knoppix---

What file do I edit to add/subtract applications at startup.

How would I edit this file to startup firefox on boot?

Is it possible to start firefox in fullscreen mode?

This is a start...

Also, is there a way to disable the minimize, maximize, and close buttons in any browser?

mikedeatworld 08-16-2004 03:19 PM

From what I have found on the internet....it seems that disabling the X button, minimize, or maximize buttons could be difficult...

Any advice?

Are you trying to create some kind of kiosk system? Take a look at:

If you run the browser in the root window then it will not have close buttons etc.

you guessed it...

ill take a look.

what do you mean by 'root' window?

i've never heard of that term.

The root window is the X server itself. Usually the window manager takes the root window but if you don't have a window manager loaded then you can just open any other window in the X server.
