firefox / flash issues

I can't get flash to work in firefox 1.0.2.

about:plugins

Shockwave Flash

File name: libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 7.0 r25

MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes

ls -al /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-1.0.2/plugins/

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 17 12:18 ./
drwxr-xr-x 12 root root 4096 Apr 17 12:24 ../
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 856 Apr 17 12:18 flashplayer.xpt*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2096844 Apr 17 12:18 libflashplayer.so*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 18460 Apr 5 08:32 libnullplugin.so*

And yet when I try to view flash content, e.g. www.zoomquilt.org, I get nothing. What's going on?

Thanks

Yes. I "fixed" this by exporting my bookmarks and then blowing away my .mozilla folder. I lost my extensions but no big deal. Flash works now.

Is there a solution to this problem without "blowing away" the .mozilla directory? I have flash working, but it does not work correctly - only certain things show up and it's mainly menu items that do not. Kinda annoying.
