Hi!

I use Suse 9.2 and I have installed Firefox. In my scholl computer, using DEbian, I can type this in terminal and get Mozzila open:
% mozilla &
Is there any way I can do that with Firefox in my Suse.

Thanks.

Say you've installed Firefox on your home directory, you can run it like this:

/home/yourusername/firefox/firefox

If you want to use just a single word to invoke it, you need to enter it into your path configuration

Sorry that I dot not quite know Linux a lot. However, I think, after going to the directory, I need to use ./firefox to run it. firefox alone as you suggested does not work.

But I really mean the [ & ] mark at the end of command line.

Regards.

The & at the end will work with any command. It means that the command should run in the background, allowing you to continue to use the terminal.
