Firefox and my http://www. home.myspace.com/ - NOT CONNECTING

I am proud to say that I have Linux Fedora 6 installed on my machine, and I am lovin' it!!! I have always felt winbloze to be clunky, bloated, and restrictive. Any hoo, sorry to get off track, easy to do...feelin' the love. I can access myspace.com just fine. I can view my main profile page, other myspace friends pages, etc. I cannot access my home.myspace to check messages, edit, etc. When I do click on "home" I get the FIREFOX cannot view this page message, make sure ww. and www. ,,,blah, blah. Says to check proxy too. Well I did check the proxy settings and there were no, and are not any restrictions in my current settings. Is this a myspace glitch, or some other setting I need to change on my Linux/Fedora 6 OS that I am not aware of?

I do not spend hours on myspace, but I do communicate on myspace with my daughter and son who live 300 miles away. Anyone have a similar issue before? I am hoping this is a really simple fix. Your help please. Thanks in advance...

http://www.home.myspace.com doesn't exist. Did you mean http://home.myspace.com?

When you click on the "home" tab from the main myspace website or from your profile on myspace after having logged in, it should take you to your editing/dashboard page.

I'm only vaguely familiar with myspace. http://home.myspace.com/ works for me; in a terminal try "nslookup home.myspace.com" and see if it resolves for you.

Hi I've got similar problem. I can't open few www pages like myspace.com, gotblack.com and few others under Fedora 7 and 8.
I've tried Firefox, Konqueror and Opera on different users, fresh OS install. Browser connects to the server but never got any response.
It's not problem with DNS servers, tried different servers with no luck.
I can ping hosts, nslookup gives ips:

myspace.com:
194.204.152.34
216.178.39.15
216.178.39.16
216.178.39.74
216.178.38.129
216.178.38.130
216.178.38.131

gotblack.com
66.226.77.80

Any ideas?
BTW I can open those pages under Windows with no problem. :(

OK I've solved it with little help from folks @ polish Fedora forum.
the cause was "MTU=1500" entry in IFCONF-ppp0 file. I removed it and now all pages open just fine.
