Firefox and kde won't work toghether *solved*

Edit: for the sulotion see last post.

Ok im having a really strange problem anyway I have tried to start firefox except for writning "firefox" in the command line makes firefox crash as soon as you trie to resize a window open a menu or similar only clicking on links or entering www adresses dosn't make it crash. This started to occur after i've upgraded kde to 3.4.1 before that it worked fine, also azureus won't start at all unless i write azureus in the command line. The only thing i can think of that these two apps have in common is this http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/in...howtopic=15127
all suggestions for a fix is greatlly appriciated thanks.

greenthing, how about trying a reinstall of firefox using KDE's packet manager(oops, I just went to look for the name and I realized I'm on the dark side of my partition)? Or use your native Suse packet manager. It shouldn't take long, and it's worth a try.

In MEPIS' Synaptic, you simply choose the name of the program and drop down to "reinstall application" I don't know how it works in Suse

I use apt for all of my installations but reinstalling firefox dosn't help, you have to remeber that this is a problem for two applications so my guess is that it is some program they both use.

Update: the gimp does the same thing as firefox and azureus so i would say that there is a very high probabilyty that this is a GTK problem.

Edit: problem solved for some reason during the update the "gtk-qt-engines" got installed wich lead to these problemes since it conflicts with the baghiraa theme that i use i don't know how i could miss that . Anyway i removed the packege and everything is back to normal.
