Firefox 1.5, route printing to kprinter

Hey-
I am running Suse 10 with Firefox 1.5 as the default browser. In the old versions of Firefox, i was able to alter the print command to route all print jobs through kprinter to give me more control of the output, but I have been unable to do this with the new version.

I tried going into about:config and changing the print command in there, but was unable to get it to work properly, possibly due to faulty syntax.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks,
-myk

I put a print icon in the menu bar and clicked it.
When the print dialog came up I selected "Properties",
and in the "Print Command" field I typed "kprinter".

hi mykrob,
Just trying to print from Firefox 1.5 myself.

I noticed that the print command field was present on one job but not on another.

It was present when I tried to print a basic html page, and absent when I wanted to print a (spawned window) 'printer friendly version' of my phone bill.
Go figure.
For a test, it was present when I tried to print home page of
www.gimp.org/.
Good luck.

Hi again,
just noticed something.
I loaded a page in Firefox and tried lpr in the Printer command field.
Nothing happened -- but I realised later I was logged on as a denied user for the printer.
I altered that in Kde prnt manager.
I went back to the Print menu and the Printer command field has now gone!

Evidently it comes and goes either randomly or according to some logic I can't understand.
