Question Finding and Removing previously installed software

I've tried installing Xmule and wxWindows many times with problems. I'm going to keep trying but i read somewhere that before you retry, you should get rid of the existing installs or whatever.

My question, how do i delete it all? I don't even know where it is or called.

Thanks,
Lance

If the default install path isn't in the README or the INSTALL file(s) then you can do a
Code:
 find / -name "appname-or-something-similar-with-wildcards"
to see where it's all installed.

You didn't bother to mention how you installed or your distro, so we have no idea how to give specific help...
