Finally when a Dashboard for LINUX ?

Mac Os are always the first in high quality releases & apps !

superkaramba, adesklets, gdesklets, are just applets.
They dont come on teh top of the screen whne you are working.

You shoudl try mac to know how great thsi feature is.

Neither does the Dashboard...the Dashboard covers whatever you are working on, you can't interact with the programs in the background while the Dashboard is being displayed. That is the whole point of having the Dashboard go up and down easily, because you can't do anything else while it is up.

I own a Mac, and frankly I never thought the Dashboard was a very good feature. I would much rather have the applets running all the time to I can use them while continuing to work with my normal applications.

I like this feature since I can read my news on it while seeing things runnign. Click out of the widgets and back to the business.

My collegues love their Mac more than any other machines. It makes passion I have the impression.

As mentioned already Superkaramba works in a similar fashion to dashboard. KDE 4.x will be able to use MacOS Dashboard widgets through the plasma interface. You can find out more by visiting this page.
