Film codecs - a conflict?

Hi All,

I have installed MPlayer and RealONE as well as the "essential" codecs recommended at Mplayers website. I have had a number of issues:

1) Video upside down, fiexed when I installed the new codecs

2) Video is all in negative colour - that is the colours are all wrong.

To tackle this issue I need to be able to determine exactly what codecs I have installed - does any one know how to do this? How does one go about installing or uninstalling codecs?

The same thing happens in Totem and other film players too.

Any hielp much appreciated,

David
