filesharing

hi

i'm looking for filesharing software that runs in linux
I'm a big fan of DC++ but i tried wine, but this is SO slow that it is not usable ...
Sometimes the program also hangs or reacts even after minutes ...

Any software i can use for filesharing?
I'm also looking for a linux version of DC++

Yes, indeed. I'm sorry. I saw the source code, and thought it was gnu/linux related.
What you have to do is checkout the source code for this:
http://linuxdcpp.berlios.de/articles.php?um=index

Use the cvs, with this line:

Code:
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.linuxdcpp.berlios.de:/cvsroot/linuxdcpp co linuxdcpp

Beware, this will create files and folders on the current dir, so you'd better make a new one empty, just for it.

After that, compile the source. But first take a look at the readme and compiling instructions, install any dependencies it may have.

Post again if you get stuck. Good luck!

Obs - Nevermind if a smiley appears in the command line above. Still, copying and pasting will work.

Personally I like LimeWire and mldonkey. LimeWire has an rpm for all rpm based distros and mldonkey has packages for Fedora (not sure which repository).

you might want to try amule or xmule as well. I personally like xmule better then amule.
