filemanager 'columns view" like in OSX finder or win bitcommander?

Hello,
I am relatively new to Linux, and trying in vain to find a file manager that features a view in multiple columns, like the Finder does in macOSX, or Bit-commander does on windows (like here )
Thank you!!
Hervé

Personally I've lived with MC (midnight commander) for decades. I think it's the best.

You might try running http://onecommander.com/download.html in wine if you really like that product.

Be sure to look at all the programs that your distro offers in package manager. It is the best place to start.

Thank you Jefro. I tried, but it seems not working properly here (Ubuntu Mate 16.04).
Then I have been directed to Pantheon file manager, which is the default in Elementary OS.
At this moment it is quite minimalist (just no settings ;-) and fragile (development version crashes every 5mn) but the stable version is indeed reasonable.
(Too bad the Tuxedo guys that built my hardware don't support Elementary as a possible system baseline :-)
Thanks again -and still welcoming any new advice!
H.
