file type association in gnome 2.1X

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to change file type associations in Gnome (mainly to use gqview instead of eye of gnome), but when I right-clic a jpg picture and choose properties -> open with, I can't change it!?

I can see gqview, but I can't choose it as default... Same happens with .avi, .ogg,...

Any idea anyone?

(gnome 2.12 on debian ppc)

Benja
