File Sharing Program Recommendations?

Hi all,

Just wondering, does anybody got any recommendations for file sharing programs in Mandrake Linux 9.1? If so, where can I download them?

Side question: Since I'm posting already, might as well ask this one -- how about spyware elimination and pop up eilimination?

Thanks,

Aaron

What exactly do you mean by file sharing? Like P2P or through your LAN? I believe most browsers in Linux have a pop-up stopper installed. I know Mozilla browsers do for a fact. Not sure about spyware though.

Mldonkey works great for me. www.mldonkey.org i think it is.

Yeah, I meant p2p file sharing, like Kazaa in windows.
I'll try that out, thanks doralsoral.

anymore?

For popup elimination in Mozilla, they don't do it automatically (as far as I know). If a site pops something up, you have to go to "Tools" --> "Popup Manager" --> "Suppress popup from this site". It's so stupid. Why can't they do it the other way, like google toolbar in windows?

Grrrrgh,

Aaron

Just tried MLDonkey, they don't have core binaries for Mandrake. Will it work?

there are too mldonkey binaries for mandrake, and there is also a kmldonkey, which works well, it is a gui for kde. Just head on over to http://ftp.club-internet.fr/pub/linu...rake/9.2/i586/ to pick up these files. mldonkey and kmldonkey. I dont use them currently, but i did test them out and they do work. I prefer xmule, which is an emule clone. That works really good. mldonkey has support for many different p2p networks though.
