file backup to dvd help

does any one know of a good command that will take a list of mp3 files and their
paths ( or any file i care about for that matter) from a text file and copy those to DVD

or of any good backup utility

im new to this.

im running debian 2.4.24 (could switch to 2.6.1 if nessisary)
and operate only in command line

thanks in advance for suggestions

or of any good backup utility

dump is a good backup utility. If I'm not mistaken almost all distributions come with it. Do a
"man dump" or "info dump" at your command prompt for more info.

Tar is a util that have been used at least 20 years. Today mostly used to unpak programs, downloaded of the internet. A never program is availebal as cpio.
