Fedora2 Help!! Booted w/ 1st CD

Hi all, brand new to Linux Fedora2, got a book w/ 4 CDs, attempted to
install on my 2.4G CPU, 256RAM, 10G hdd.

Booted w/ 1st CD. At the end of first CD (device) integrity check (something like that), got a "Fail" response. The Cd was good prior to the installation. I'm not sure what could've caused the CD to go 'bad' after checking.

Anyone gone through this? Does this mean I'm out of luck with all 4 CDs, since the first one bailed out? (Didn't get a chance to check the rest, though.)

Hi BOB,

This sounds weird, but it may simply be that CD1 wasn't burned/pressed properly and managed to work for a little while before it crapped out. If you have a decent ADSL connection, you could always download the first CD iso and burn it yourself. Otherwise you may need to order some cheap CDs from Cheap Bytes (http://www.cheapbytes.com/) or something (that way you'll obviously get all 4 CDs.)

Is the CD scratched? Have you tried washing it (dishwashing soap and water)?
