Here is my problem;

I have downloaded Fedora 11 and when I try to install it through “custom drive layout” i face a problem. I have four partitions, on first one is windows vista and obviously I select the second drive. I click edit and select it as \ and format is ext4. I use option to as fix drive size 70000 (it is 7.5 GB drive). When I click on next button it gives error saying that \ can not be on ext4 and I can not go further with the installation.

I am installing it on HP Pavillion 2GHz, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HD.

Please advice.

As described in the installation notes, the version of GRUB used by F11 can not boot from an ext4 partition. The solution is to create a small (100-200 Mb) partition as an ext3 one and place /boot on it, leaving / on the ext4 partition.

Unless you define /boot, the default is to create it in the space allocated for / and, since / is ext4, you get the "can't boot" error.
