Fedora Three Memory Requirements
 

Built an "old" machine before Xmas and have been using Fedora three since. I have found that opening new items of software takes ages. Am I right in assuming this is because of the paltry amount of memory I have (160meg) and is it likely to get MUCH better if I drop in an additional 256meg?

Compared to Windows XP on the same rig, it probably takes about 5 times longer to open, say, Firefox or Thunderbird.
