Fedora fonts on Slackware

How do I get Fedora's default fonts on Slackware?

I tried copying over /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts (followed by mkfontdir and mkfontscale) and /usr/share/fonts (followed by fc-cache), but that didn't do it.

I really like Slackware, but it's rather hard on the eyes (specially Firefox), and that keeps me from switching. Any ideas?

Thanks,

GR

Use the font manager of the kde control center. It's easier and suits better your needs.

How is it hard on the eyes exactly? It's probably just your Fedora install had antialiasing turned on by default and perhaps Slackware didn't. These links should help

I already had anti-aliasing on in Slackware (and yes, I still found many of the default fonts ugly and/or hard to read).

Thanks for the links and the font-manager suggestion; I'll give those a shot.
