Fedora Core Image Not Found

I'm a newbie (no kidding you say). I am trying to install Fedora on a Dell Inspiron 1100 w/a CD-RW/DVD and a 60 GB HD. I have used Partition Commander to create multiple partitions and am trying to install fedora using ISO images. I couldn't get the cd to recognize the ISO from a CD boot. So I tried to boot from a floppy and then got the same error when it was time to read the CD iso images. I've also tried the same type of installation on an older PC (Sony Vaio) to see if the problem was unique to the Dell. Everything goes fine on both PCs until the cd tries to recognize the Fedora Core CD1 Image. I keep getting "Fedora Core CD 1 Not Found" on both PCs. I've run md5sum within DOS and the ISO images checked out for all three CDs, so I'm thinking the CD images are OK.

Do I need to issue a command to mount the cd device or is it something else? Any suggestions?

More info (in case it matters). I had a trial version of VMWare (on the Dell) and was able to install Fedora without a problem within VMWare. I don't want to purchase VMWare unless I have to.

Thanks,

SandyBerny

Did you burn the iso onto the cd? If you look at the cd and there is only one file that is your problem, you need to go into your cd buring software and there should be an options somewhere to "Create file from disk image" or something like that, you burnt cd should have alot of files on it and not just one .iso file on it.

Beautiful!!! Used the HD (FAT) to load files. Thanks for the help.
