Fedora core 4 does not find monitor/videocard on IBM thinkpad A30

When installing Fedora Core 4 on an IBM Thinkpad A30 the installation stops as the monitor/videocard cannot be found.
Pls help.

Install via text mode as the kernel used to bootup might not support your video card.
