Fedora core 3 HAL locking up the system load
i edited etc/inittab so it would not load X on boot (I think) by adding a # infront of the last line (the one about X runlevel 5) now when fedora boots up it stalls on "Starting HAL Daemon" and does absolutley nothing...any suggestions?

You also need line read in /etc/inittab
from: id:3:initdefault: To: id:5:initdefault: Hope this helps |
but how can i get fedora to load so i can edit it? :x

You can change the runlevel at boot time. Check here for the applicable instructions. It depends on the bootloader you use:
