Unhappy Fedora 8 Login Problems

Hi, I just installed Fedora 8 on a GX-1 with out any problems.. That is until I came to the login screen. It wont let me create an account or nothing. Plus during install it never asks for me to create a login only to create a main password (without login name). Nothing Ive tried works... This is my 3rd time installing.. Getting Frustrated! Help Please...

When you set the main password in Fedora 8 you're setting the "root" password. To login, use "root" as your user name and use the corresponding password you set as the password for root.

Once you are logged in as root you can add new users.

Hope this helps
