Fedora 17 wireless driver problem

I have problems with installing wireless drivers BCM4318 resp. BCM4320 in Fedora 17. (the computer is a Dell Latitude D600)
I know former versions of Fedora had identical problems.

One solution (http://www.linuxwireless.org/en/user...a9beec8dbae1_1) was:

lspci -vnn -d 14e4:

When ok:

Fedora

With Fedora 10 and above, you should install wget and the b43-fwcutter tool (which will extract firmware from the Windows driver):

Toggle line numbers

1 su -
2 yum install b43-fwcutter wget
Install b43-fwcutter

Use version 015 of b43-fwcutter.
Download, extract the b43-fwcutter tarball and build it:

Toggle line numbers

1 wget http://bues.ch/b43/fwcutter/b43-fwcutter-015.tar.bz2
2 tar xjf b43-fwcutter-015.tar.bz2
3 cd b43-fwcutter-015
4 make
5 sudo make install
6 cd ..

When I all do this I get at the command "make" the following response:

[root@Laptop-Johan ~]# cd b43-fwcutter-015
[root@Laptop-Johan b43-fwcutter-015]# make
DEPEND dep/md5.d
/bin/sh: cc: command not found
DEPEND dep/fwcutter.d
/bin/sh: cc: command not found
CC obj/fwcutter.o
/bin/sh: cc: command not found
make: *** [obj/fwcutter.o] Error 127
[root@Laptop-Johan b43-fwcutter-015]#

I found out that it has something to do with "bash" but do not know how ro solve it!

What are the errors you get from yum?

** EDIT **

Sorry! Ignore that stupid comment. This package is available from yum. Additionally, instead of using the fwcutter, you can just install "b43-tools". Either way, both are available from yum so you don't have to build them yourself. There is also a "b43-openfwwf" package which provides firmware for some Broadcom chips.

As for the build errors, do you have gcc installed?
