Fedora 12 on laptop - speakers wont mute when headphones plugged in

Hello,

I just installed fedora 12 on my new lenovo laptop sl510 where I have pulseaudio over my alsa. The problem is, when I plugin headphones in 3.5 jack the speakers dont mute which is really irritating. I tried switching from "analog output" to "analog headphones", but what that does it mutes both.

Please help!!!

luckily I can manually mute speakers with lenovos mute button which leaves only headphones on, but this disables my ability to manage the voulme :(

If you have Intel-sound you might need something like "options snd-hda-intel model=modelname" in "/etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf" (create it if it does not exist). Run lspci to find out what sound device you have and google to to find out what the modelname should be.
