Question Fedora 11 totem and rhythmbox fail to load gstreamer plugins error

Hi all,

I recently loaded up Fedora 11 onto my laptop and downloaded the gstreamer plugins ( bad ugly and good) and now when I launch rhythmbox to play mp3s and totem to play movies i get this:

TOTEM:

Code:
(totem:7359): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstdeinterlace.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstdeinterlace.so: undefined symbol: gst_video_format_parse_caps_interlaced

(totem:7359): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libresindvd.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libresindvd.so: undefined symbol: gst_navigation_event_parse_command

(totem:7359): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstrtsp.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstrtsp.so: undefined symbol: gst_rtsp_connection_set_tunneled

** (totem:7358): CRITICAL **: gst_ring_buffer_commit_full: assertion `buf->data != NULL' failed
RHYTHEMBOX:

Code:
(rhythmbox:7530): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstdeinterlace.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstdeinterlace.so: undefined symbol: gst_video_format_parse_caps_interlaced

(rhythmbox:7530): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libresindvd.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libresindvd.so: undefined symbol: gst_navigation_event_parse_command

(rhythmbox:7530): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstrtsp.so': /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstrtsp.so: undefined symbol: gst_rtsp_connection_set_tunneled

any ideas? VLC can play the files fine, but I think it uses its own codecs dosen't it?

I think so...

You might also want to try MPlayer. I never use totem etc. IMO MPlayer for general movie clip playing and XINE itself for watching DVDs is much more superior and works much beter. With its standard codec pack loaded MPlayer will reliably play just about any movie clip in any format you can reasonably encounter or need.
