FC6 lcd display problem with gnome

Just installed fc6 over a previous rh9 os on a dell
desktop/i386 system with lcd display. The gnome display worked fine in rh6, and on another dell where I installed fc6. But on this install, the top bar of gnome displays beneath the bottom bar; screen display seems to have 'rolled up' around 1/3, then rolled back around. Please can someone advise where the lcd graphics display commands might be stored, and what resolutions I should expect to find (assuming that this might be the source of the problem)? Is there any way to adjust this in 'setup ' without having to go into text command structure? Thanks for help on this- Marshall

You should be able to run "system-config-display" from a termial and change your graphics configuration there. Which graphics card do you have on your machine? If it is nVidia or ATI, installing their proprietary driver may solve the problem. For details about it, see the following link.
