Hi everyone
I have installed tomcat v5 and eclipse v3.1 with yum on FC5. They work fine... so I fetched the sysdeo v3.1 plugin for eclipse which should give the ability to start, stop and reload tomcat from within eclipse....The sysdeo buttons show on the eclipse toolbar, but nothing happens when I click them...
I am logged in as a none-root user called jni. I can start and stop tomcat with the jni user. I am also starting eclipse with the jni user.
I have configured the tomcat home directory and configuration file in eclipse.... I am using jdk1.5.0_06. Is there anything else I should do?
I colleage of mine has suggested reinstalling tomcat with the package from the tomcat homepage insteas of using yum. Should that really be necessary to get the plugin working?
When I Google this issue, I see that other people have some sort of output to a console that reveals what is wrong. I don't see any output anywhere when I click the buttons. Is it something I have to enable in Eclipse (I am a newbie when it comes to eclipse)?
I posted this on fedoraforum.org, but noone has been able to answer, so I really hope there is someone in here who's able to help
