fbdesk icon problems

I can't seem to get fbdesk to display anything but the default icon on the desktop. When fbdesk is launched, it loads ~/.fluxbox/fbdesk.icons then says Load pixmap failed! () Using default pixmap.

I have edited fbdesk.icons and pointed to the icon I want to be displayed. Do the icons have to be in a specific location?
