fatal server error: cannot move logfile XFree86.0.old

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Installed an Audigy soundcard yesterday. I did it in Windows so I could immediately play with all the cool features before recompiling my kernel so it would work in Slackware.

Today, I go to startx, and I get this error:
Fatal Server Error:
cannot move old logfile /var/log/XFree86.0.old

I have no idea what is causing this. I went through xf86config just to see what happens, and I still get the same error. Any suggestions? I am able to startx as root.
