Failed to sync one or more sources: Failed to write some configuration data to disk
 
Dear Guys ,
I'm getting the below metion error messages on one of the Production server recently though we have not done any latest changes ... pls guide
Error messages :-
Nov 5 19:49:58 amos-prod gconfd (root-3243): Failed to write "/root/.gconf/apps/puplet/%gconf.xml": Failed to open "/root/.gconf/apps/puplet/%gconf.xml.new": No such file or directory
Nov 5 19:49:58 amos-prod gconfd (root-3243): Failed to sync one or more sources: Failed to write some configuration data to disk

OS Version :-
Linux amos-prod 2.6.18-8.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jan 26 14:15:21 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

I have enought free space on all mount points ..

Need more information..

What version / Distribution of Linux is this ? I'm going to guess this is some version of Redhat or Fedora ?

Have you verified your sources list is good ?
Have you looked at that referenced directory and what files are in it ?
does the %gconf.xml file exist ?
Are the permissions/ownership correct on the file ?

-rw------- 1 root root  355 2008-11-05 08:35 %gconf.xml
do you have free space on the partition ? df -h
If theres no free space left it won't be able to write any new files..

File permission is there ..
